1900 – today

Abu Mena was found in 1905, the foundation stone of the Monastery of Saint Mina was laid in 1959, Abu Mena joined the World Heritage List in 1979, Borg El Arab Stadium opened in 2007, and El Amreya II District was created in 2015.
